Communications Intern

KBCC
I attended Kingsborough Community College starting in 2018 and graduated in 2019. During my time there I interned with their communications department as a graphic designer. This was a different experience from my time at Relix since at Kingsborough I had other designers as my superiors. The senior designers would give me briefs on projects they would need completed and then gave me the freedom to design as I pleased within the guidelines of the brief. I created posters and banners for events and information sessions, as well as personal holiday greeting cards for the president of the College.

During my last semester at Kingsborough, one of my professors asked me if I wanted to be part of a 2-man design team tasked with creating the Kingsborough's Antheon: Journal of the Arts. Of course I said yes and found myself collaborating with another super talented designer on coming up with cover designs, page layout, cohesive and fluent background designs, which works made it into the booklet, as well choosing typefaces. I believe the book came out a good 50/50 between the two of us and am very proud of the work we've done. Here are all the of pages that have my works on them as well as the cover and the pages that have the presidents notes and accrediting page.
