SPORTS ILLUSTRATIONS

I'm a big sports fan as well as an athlete and really wanted to use my illustration abilities along with designing. At Kingsborough I decided to design most things for sports. It gave me a level of focus that allowed me to really fine tune my skills. After college I really wanted to land a job designing for sports or doing sports illustrations.

Program(s) used:

Adobe Illustrator

These 6 colorful sport images are a collection I did for a Sports Conference at LIU's Brooklyn campus. I designed the athletes without faces because I didn't want anyone to try and say they were a specific athlete.

I made this set of athlete illustrations for an illustration competition in 2020. As an athlete and coach myself, I really wanted to express how athletes are influenced and how they influence the next generation. I had strong feelings for this project since sports really helped my siblings learn hard work, discipline and showed them that they were capable of more than they thought.

In order to challenge myself, I attempted to make my illustrations more realistic and figured out a technique that really helped me acquire a look that I was satisfied with.

These 2 posters are going to be part of a set of 4. I wanted to try something a little more shape oriented and less realistic. Without outlines, gradients and using only straight lines on the athletes, this was a design that tested me.

Undoubtedly an unfortunate loss, Kobe Bryant was taken too soon. Once I heard the news, I immediately put this together. It's honestly one of my favorite works of art I have ever made.

For the poster of Sabrina Ionescu, I was asked to create this poster in hopes that it would turn some heads either at NY Liberty, or the WNBA. Using techniques I've developed during my time working on the illustration competition piece, I challenged myself by doing 3 poses while keeping her likeliness. I must say, I am really happy with the final product.
